Pepa From Legendary Hip-Hop Group Salt-N-Pepa
writes, "Authors New Book Entitled Let’s Talk About Pep

New York, NY - Pepa is the spiciest ingredient in the legendary rap group Salt-N-Pepa, and the outspoken star of VH1’s smash-hit reality show. She’s Sandy “Denton”—she’s never at a loss for words. Now in LET’S TALK ABOUT PEP (VH1/Pocket Books; September 2008), she bares all, telling her side of the story and leaving no detail unturned— with the true candor and raw emotion of someone who has been there, done that, and survived.

Obama on Right Side of History, Bill Clinton says
writes, " “Everything I’ve learned in my eight years as president and the work I’ve done since, in America and across the globe, has convinced me that Barack Obama is the man for this job,” he said. Some reports indicate Clinton felt the Obama camp hadn’t been respectful of his legacy as the last Democratic president. Clinton, who was an inexperienced and young politician when he was elected president in 1992, noted the similarities between himself and Obama. He described them both as forces of change."

Lollapalooza Showcases Incredible Black Talent
writes, "By Jon Hart

Saul Williams at this year’s Lollapalooza Grant Park, Chicago, IL The great thing about music festivals is you go expecting to have your entire time planned out but it doesn’t work that way. I had a bunch of bands picked out to see at Lollapalooza and I had a hard time seeing them all and I ended up seeing some great bands anyway. Of course, I managed to see the main band I was there to see, Rage Against the Machine.

Who’s Really Watching “Black In America”?
writes, "
Who is watching “Black in America” on CNN? I ask the question because it was raging inside of me as I listened to pundits and experts, educators and pastors, business professionals and actors —all attempting to make sense and give shape to what it means to be black in America.

I asked the very same question after Tavis Smiley produced the “The Covenant with Black America” a few years ago. That book sold millions of copies, and was the topic of quite a few talk shows. And this CNN “special” will probably be one the highest rated shows on the network ever. But I again I ask who is watching?

NEW YORKER COVER DEPICTS THE OBAMAS AS TERRORISTS
writes, "The closer Barack Obama gets to winning the White House, the more determined his adversaries have become to derail his campaign by any means necessary. Remember how Hillary refused to drop out of the race in May because she said that June was the month Bobby Kennedy was assassinated? Hinthint. Or how one of her surrogates, former Senator Bob Kerrey, stated that Obama might be a Muslim Manchurian Candidate pre-programmed to hide his true anti-American agenda until after becoming President?

Hint-hint. Similar hateful sentiments have been echoed in the caricature of the Obamas contained on the cover of the July 21st issue of the New Yorker Magazine which shows the couple sharing one of their famous fistbumps in the Oval Office, ostensibly celebrating soon after his inauguration.
