| Joe Brown Making Noise On MMGT |
JacksonBlazer writes, "“Joe Brown will be hard to beat”, said Freddie Young. “I’ve been playing with him for years, and basically he’s not going to shoot over 77 or 78 and usually that’s good enough to win on our tour.” Young, for the most part, has been correct so far, except for one small detail, Brown has shot 73 in the last two MMGT tournaments for back-to-back wins.

| Back to Back for Rich Williams |
JacksonBlazer writes, "Wins Father’s Day Classic at Tecumseh Country Club
“I’m getting an idea how Tiger Woods feels”, said Rich Williams, jokingly after his 2-shot victory Saturday June 7 at the beautiful Tecumseh Country Club. “ The PGA field spends its time chasing after Woods tournament after tournament, and I’m trying to establish that precedent here on the Michigan Masters Golf Tour.” Williams, with his 5th career MMGT win, finished with an 81, two shots over the defending 2007 Father’s Day champion Larry Green, and 2 strokes better Shanear Trice. | MMGT 2008 Standings Trice To Defend Memorial Open Title |
JacksonBlazer writes, "2008 Field Boast Parity
The MMGT is set to host its 2nd tournament of the year, The 8th Annual Memorial Open, at Concord Hills Golf Course on Memorial Day, May 26. The Memorial Open, in tune with Memorial Day, gives participating golfers an opportunity to dedicate their round of golf to that special someone who has passed on. Defending champion Shanear Trice prepares to defend his title against a very competitive field. Last year, Trice shot 75, four strokes better than Rich Williams, and six strokes ahead of Larry Green. Several MMGT golfers could contend for Trice’s Memorial Open title, including the 2008 Master’s winner Marcus Patterson. "

| After Long Winter, Area Golfers Hit The Links |
|
JacksonBlazer writes, "A famous poet once said that. In the spring a young man’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love. This poet must have been a golfer, because I’m sure he was really talking about golf. Springtime brings thoughts of golf to action-especially in those areas of the country, like Michigan, where we have to wait for the snow to melt before we can hit the links."
