KRUISIN’ WITH KAPT KRAZY
JacksonBlazer writes, "Hi Everybody! Sorry I missed last month’s deadline. We attended our first show May 7th at Depot Town in Ypsilanti, Michigan. It was a nice show in the park down by the Huron River. This was the 29th year for this show called the Ypsi Area Show and Shine. It is always held the first Sunday in May."
There were approximately 400 cars which featured a wide variety. From our group there were 7 cars from the Jackson –Brooklyn area, which included a ’39 Plymouth, ’64 Fairlane, ’35 Ford Pickup, ’64 ½ Mustang, ’29 Ford Sedan, ’65 T-Bird, and a ’66 Buick.. The show was put together well with a good DJ playing lots of Golden Oldies, many tunes I haven’t heard in years. The show is hosted by the Ypsi Area Street Rods, and they also have a kick-off party there on Saturday night before Sunday’s show. The show is lots of fun because it’s small and laid back and you see a few of your friends for the first time since last summer. Well guys, that’s it for now.
